The following are frequently asked questions about the programs and community at Sayers Classical Academy. If you do not see your question listed below, please submit a contact form.

What are the hours of your program?

PreK and Kindergarten begin at 8:00 am and dismiss at 12:30 pm (A full day option is available). Grade 1 through 12 begin at 8:00 am and end at 3:30 pm.

What are the age requirements for entry to PreK and Kindergarten?

PreK students must be three years old by August 1st and they also must be completely toilet trained. Students going into Kindergarten must be five years old by August 1st.

What is the typical class size?

Class sizes at Sayers are relatively small. SCA prefers classes Kindergarten and grades 1-4 classes to be 12-15 students, but may also be smaller. Class sizes within grades 5-12 vary based on subject and scheduling but are typically between 10-20 students.

Do you gender separate in certain grade levels?

Yes, when there are a sufficient number of students in grade 3 through 8, we try to gender separate with most subjects.

Do you provide training for parents?

Yes, there are training sessions required for both new and returning parents. These sessions cover such things as the phonogram/spelling curriculum, Latin in grades 3 & 4, the Sayers' binder system, etc.

What is the expected level of involvement for SCA parents?

There is a high level of parental involvement expected because we believe that the education of children is primarily the parent's responsibility. Our aim is to partner with parents, not replace them. Read more about this partnership in Our Mission.

If I want to attend a Prospective Families Meeting, what should I do?

The Prospective Family Meeting is a required step in the application process. Please be sure to "Register Now" so that we can plan for your attendance.

What extracurricular are available through SCA?

We are thankful for our students to have the opportunity to participate in the arts, various sports and ministry opportunities.
